The Stage 32 Videos: Short Film

In 1961, a filmmaker suddenly disappears without a trace. Many decades later, a film researcher attempts to piece together what happened to the man that no one can seem to remember. In the making of this AI-infused film, I employed the use of AI-generated images and video along with traditional filmmaking methods.

Hi everyone! A couple of months ago, I posted here a script for a short film my college cinema club "The 4th Wall" and I planned to make. We were struggling with it. But in the end, we made it! And we just shared it on YouTube. It got more than 100 views in the last 24 hours! The movie, "8 DAYS", is a short romantic film about the ambiguity of feelings and the possibilities against fear. A girl notices some attention from her out-of-her-league crush during the final eight days of the scholar year. Will he make a move? Will he do something before the summer break starts? Must she do something? With the beautiful melodies of song "Lover Girl" by Laufey , we dive in the fantasy of the girl, mixed with her frustration as time passes. This is my very first short film. I can't believe it's out here! I personally don't like it and see lots of mistakes in it. But that's the usual director's opinion. Meanwhile, I would love to hear your thoughts about it, and how to improve next time!

Before the Morning Shift follows two friends over the course of a single night in New York City, sharing conversations, humor, and quiet moments before the routine of work returns. As they move through the city, their exchanges reveal a sense of connection shaped by time, place, and the awareness that morning is approaching. Constructed from over one hundred short-form fragments, the film uses fragmentation as a narrative tool, assembling fleeting moments into a continuous and intimate story. While the film is built from generated visual material, the performances, editing, and narrative structure are entirely shaped by the filmmakers.
